DALEY TAKES WIN AT NEW SMYRNA BULLRING Byron Daley (Bronx, NY) turned what has been a streak of bad races for the #91 MattDRacing.com Chevrolet team in the GSRacing.net Truck Series around in a big way Thursday night by taking the victory in the JDR Graphics 125 at the New Smyrna Speedway. Daley, who came within a half straightaway of winning the JDR Graphics 100 at Iowa Speedway, passed Jordan Hightower (Fort Smith, AK) on the outside on the final restart with five laps to go. Third place in the JDR Graphics 125 belonged to Kenneth OKeefe (Smithville, ON) while Danny Hansen (Amherst, WI) and Brandon Kettelle (Cape Coral, FL) rumbled home to complete the top five.
The race was a slugfest for the regulars in the GSRacing.net Truck Series as 16 yellow flag periods slowed the pace of the event, which took only one hour and four minutes to complete. Daley led thrice for a grand total of 50 laps and never dipped below his fourth place starting spot in the race in becoming the tenth different winner in 13 races. Four leaders exchanged the lead five times amongst them. OKeefe, the winner at the G...

ALFALLA WINS THE RUMBLE IN THE BLUEGRASS The 2011 NASCAR iRacing.com Series World Champion Ray Alfalla (Cape Coral, FL) finally got the monkey off his back Thursday night by winning his first GSRacing.net Truck Series event of the season by taking the victory in the Mason Baker Designs 150 at Kentucky. Alfalla started in the last row of the race and worked his way through traffic, taking the lead for the first and final time on Lap 93 of 100. Thomas Hazard (Rochester, MN) rebounded from a dismal Chase to the GSRacing.net Championship to finish second at Kentucky. Kevin King (San Diego, CA) finished in third, followed by Daniel Pope II (Smyrna, TN) and Chase driver Dylan Duval (Halifax, NS).
For the second consecutive race, Hazard led the most laps in a GSRacing.net Truck Series event as he ran up front for a race high 43 laps. Brandon Kettelle (Cape Coral, FL) entered the race as the point leader and started the evening’s race at the Kentucky Speedway on the pole with a lap time of 31.682 seconds. Hudson Takes Chase Opener One of the all time leaders in wins on the GSRacing.net Truck Series took his 13th series victory on Thursday when Tyler Hudson (Brandon, MS) took the checkered flag first in the Fastrac Sports Marketing 125 at Dover International Speedway. This was the first victory at the one-mile Delaware oval for Hudson and the AdaSignWraps.com Chevrolet in the Truck Series. The NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship driver took the lead from Richmond winner Jason Karlavige (Scranton, PA) with 15 laps remaining in the 125 lap event and held on from there for the win in the first “Chase to the GSRacing.net Truck Series Championship” race of the 2011-12 season. Karlavige finished second after a scuffle on the back straightaway between he and Kevin King (San Diego, CA) saw King plummet from third to 14th in the final running order. Jordan Hightower (Fort Smith, AK) and Josh Connors (Elwood, IN) scored their best career Truck Series finishes by placing third and fourth at Dover respectively. Completing the top five in the race was Danny Hansen (Amher...
